Where is Mount Prospect?
Mount Prospect is a Northwest suburb of Chicago. Located approximately 26 miles northwest of Chicago’s Loop. Main roads intersecting Mount Prospect are IL Route 83 (north & south), and Routes 14 (Northwest Highway), and Route 12 both running southeast and northwest.
Driving directions.
From Chicago –
Take I-94 north of Chicago. Follow signs for I-90 (O’Hare Airport). Exit Elmhurst Road – north (Route 83). As you travel north and cross Oakton Street, you are entering Mount Prospect. Continuing north for 3.5 miles will bring you to the center of Mount Prospect.
From the north –
Take I-94 south and exit at Willow Road. Continue west past Rt. 21 (Milwaukee Ave.) to Elmhurst Road (Route 83). You are now at the north end of Mount Prospect. Continuing south on Elmhurst Rd. (Route 83) for 2 1/2 miles will bring you to the center of Mount Prospect.
From the south –
Take 355/53 north and exit at Northwest Highway (Route 14). Continue east (southeast) on Northwest Highway for approximately 4 1/2 miles (through Arlington Heights) to Main Street (Route 83). You will then be in the center of Mount Prospect.
From the west –
Take I-90 east to Route 53 – north. Continue north on 53 and exit at Northwest Highway (Route 14). Continue east (southeast) on Northwest Highway for approximately 4 1/2 miles (through Arlington Heights) to Main Street (Route 83). You will then be in the center of Mount Prospect.
